Movie-style holiday magic is back to Martini Town

Martini Town is transforming into a twinkling winter wonderland once again as Merry & Bright returns for its annual holiday celebration.

Event organizers invite visitors to step straight onto a holiday movie set, complete with glowing lights, festive decor, and even a touch of movie snow.

The outdoor experience will be open from 3 to 10 p.m. on select dates: Nov. 21 to 23, Nov. 26 to 30, Dec. 3 to 14, and Dec. 17 to 31. People can view the full schedule at merrybright.ca/schedule/.

Famous for its appearances in countless TV shows and films, Martini Town becomes the backdrop for a cozy Christmas village, filled with nostalgic storefronts, picture-perfect streets, and surprise visits from Santa.

“Opening our backlot to the public allows those who cherish the holidays to step right onto their own film set,” said Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios.

“We’re so proud to share a bit of movie-style magic and holiday cheer with our community.”

This year, guests will notice several new touches.

Martini explained that the event has been enhanced with a fresh look and more interactive elements.

“We hired a new production designer, Gail Taylor. She’s from the industry and she does amazing work,” she said.

“We also have two mascots on site, one of which is Ice Princess, which everybody loves. Of course, Santa’s here every night.”

Visitors can enjoy live entertainment from Victorian carolers to Vancouver musicians, such as the Dimes.

“I love the live entertainment. I love the Dimes. They sing amazingly well,” Martini said. “It’s just so great to be able to walk around and see community coming together in such a positive way.”

Market Lane, an artisan market featuring rotating local vendors, gives guests the chance to shop for unique gifts, while food favourites like Texas Smoke BBQ and mini donuts provide warm, festive bites. There are also a few other select food trucks on site for hungry guests.

Merry & Bright runs Wednesdays through Sundays, with select Mondays and Tuesdays closed.

A portion of proceeds supports the Langley Food Bank, and visitors are encouraged to bundle up, as the event is entirely outdoors with some heated areas.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at merrybright.ca/tickets for a specific time slot. Admission is $24 for adults, $20 for seniors, $18 for youth (13–17), $12 for children (6–12), and kids five and younger are free.

From sparkling lights and festive music to roaming characters and gently falling snow, Merry & Bright transforms Martini Town into a holiday destination that feels straight out of a movie.

“From the moment you drive into the parking lot, we want you to have a great time,” Martini said. “We really just try to enhance the experience for our guests.”
