Help-Portrait Ridge Meadows is back for its 13th year, offering free, professional family photos for anyone in need.
Each year volunteers come together including: hair stylists, makeup artists, photographers, editors, framers, and other general volunteers, to put together the event.
Those who show up for a portrait will get a mini makeover before posing for their photo.
Every family will receive one framed portrait.
The event will include children’s activities and live music.
Snacks and drinks will also be available.
The event is open to everyone. No preregistration is required, although families are welcome to sign up in advance.
Help-Portrait is a global movement that was founded in 2008 by American photographers Jeremy Cowart and Kyle Chowning.
The event has grown to 67 countries all around the world on the same day.
Globally, more than 380, 000 portraits have been handed out, with the help of more than 75,000 volunteers.
Locally more than 2,400 people have attended Help-Portrait since it first started in Maple Ridge in 2011.
Help-Portrait Ridge Meadows takes place from 1-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, at Golden Ears United Church, 22165 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Maple Ridge.
