A series of free Christmas light tours are being offered by the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society.
Anyone 55 years or older are welcome aboard the Seniors Community Shuttle bus for any one of the multiple tours starting Monday, Dec. 8.
There are two tours to Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam, which will be independent walking tours.
This tour will be offered on Dec. 8, and Dec. 15. The bus will leave the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre at 12150 224 Street at 6:30 p.m., the Pitt Meadows Seniors Activity Centre at 19065 119b Ave. at 6:45 p.m., and arrive at Lafarge Lake at 7:05 p.m.
The bus will then leave Lafarge Lake at 8 p.m., arriving at the Pitt Meadows centre at 8:20 p.m. and at 8:35 p.m. at the Maple Ridge centre.
For those with mobility issues, three seated tours will also be taking place of Christmas lights around Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
In Pitt Meadows the tour will leave the Pitt Meadows centre at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, and returns at 8 p.m. to the centre.
Two tours will be departing from the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre, one on Friday, Dec. 12, and the other on Friday, Dec. 19.
Both of these will leave the centre at 6:30 p.m. and return at 8 p.m.
“Get cozy and enjoy the dazzling displays with friends,” said the seniors society online. “This is a wonderful—and free—way to get into the holiday spirit, but we need you to help us fill the seats.”
