An eight-year-old girl is dead after a fall from a highrise balcony in Yaletown Tuesday (Nov. 11).
Officers were called to a residential building near Nelson Street and Expo Boulevard just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday after the girl fell from an upper balcony, Vancouver police said in a news release Wednesday. First reponders provided emergency medical care to the child, but she died from her injuries at the scene.
Police said detectives from the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crime Section are investigating the circumstances around the girl’s death. Anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-2500.
