Maple Ridge event helps people with grief and loss over the holidays

Ridge Meadows Hospice Society is accepting photographs of loved ones who have passed away to honour them during a service to help with grief and loss over the holiday season.

Called “A Time to Remember”, the event will feature a slideshow to remember those who died, in addition to a candle lighting service.

The evening will also include musical performances, readings by staff and volunteers.

This year the event will be held at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 11765 224 St., Maple Ridge.

The hospice society is also holding a navigating grief during the holidays workshop.

This event will feature a space to share, learn, and connect with others who understand.

The event will be taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre, 12150 224 St., Maple Ridge.
