Beaches free concert date announced for Vernon

Vernon is gearing up for an unforgettable night as The Beaches take the stage at Kal Tire Place North on Thursday, Nov. 27.

Fans can look forward to a high-energy, one-of-a-kind live music experience after the city won the SiriusXM Music Town contest.

The contest started in September seeking nominations of cities interested in hosting a free concert by The Beaches.

The Canada-wide contest saw Vernon stand out among more than 450 towns, narrowed down to eight in the final and taking the win over the finalists: Cranbrook, B.C., Amherstburg, ON., Antigonish, NS., Bathurst, NB., Lacombe, AB., Moose Jaw, SK., and Shawinigan, QC.

“Vernon is a community that thrives on connection, creativity, and celebration,” said Mayor Victor Cumming. “Being named the 2025 SiriusXM Music Town is a testament to our passion and spirit. We’re excited to welcome The Beaches to our city and look forward to this unforgettable music experience.”

Following the announcement, Vernon has now set a date for the show and tickets will be available on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m.

Early access is strongly recommended, as the free tickets are expected to be claimed quickly.
