A video of a fight between “a number of young people” that’s been circulating social media is being investigated by Lake Country RCMP.
The video shows multiple teenagers punching and kicking another youth on the ground. Multiple voices are yelling in the background of the video, telling everyone to spot the violent outburst. The video ends with the youth on the ground holding their head and others in attendance checking to see if the youth is injured. It was posted to a public Facebook group but has since been deleted.
Cpl. Kent Hall confirmed to Black Press Media that the RCMP has begun a criminal investigation into the matter, including allegations that weapons may have been present during the fight.
The fight occurred sometime throughout the first weekend of November at a house party on Okanagan Centre Road East.
