Set clocks back one hour on Saturday night before bed

You get an extra hour of sleep tonight.

It’s time to fall back – set the clocks back by one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night, as Daylight Savings Time ends on Nov. 2 at 2 a.m..

The end of Daylight Savings Times means sunrise will come earlier in the morning, but also that the evenings will be darker.

This is an annual tradition that began during the First World War, as a way to conserve energy by maximizing daylight. Some parts of Canada no longer observe the tradition, including several northern B.C. communities, and the province of Saskatchewan.
