This Saturday, Nov. 1 brings the Maple Ridge Fire Department’s annual Muscular Dystrophy Boot Drive.
Join off-duty firefighters at the Save-On-Foods stores on 227th Street and 240th Street. The first responders will be helping bag your groceries while raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
Muscular dystrophy is a group of genetic disorders that cause progressive muscle weakness and loss of mobility. Every donation helps provide essential equipment, support programs, and fund important research for those living with these conditions.
Pitt Meadows firefighters also did a boot drive for the cause on Sept. 20
The filltheboot.ca campaign is part of a 70-year, cross-Canada effort to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Donations can be made online at muscle.ca
