The Golden Ears Bridge’s west walkway will be closed until almost 2026, during bridge maintenance.
TransLink has announced it will be extending maintenance and repair work on the bridge until late 2025. The west sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists. Directional signage will be posted to redirect users to the east sidewalk.
One sidewalk will always remain open.
In addition, drivers may see occasional lane closures may occur during non-peak hours to allow for material delivery.
The Fraser River crossing between Maple Ridge and Langley opened in 2009, and is popular with commuters and recreational cyclists.
