Bringing a Holly-day performance to Maple Ridge during the festive season

A performer who has been called “a dead ringer for dead singers” will be offering a Christmas Show at The ACT in Maple Ridge in December.

On tour across B.C. this festive season, Zachary Stevenson is bringing his holiday concert, reimagined for 2025, called A Holly Jolly Christmas. It will play on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

This unique production combines beloved Christmas classics with some of the biggest hits of the 1950s and ’60s, taking audiences on a Rock’n’Rolling rollercoaster of music and merriment.

Stevenson has brought his voice, award-winning persona, and uncanny ability to channel the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Williams and more around the globe, to audiences across Canada, the U.S., Netherlands, and U.K. He is probably most recognised for playing the title role in over ten productions of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.

“I’ve never been more excited to take a show on the road,” said Stevenson, “This is a concert that I’ve been honing over the last five years, taking all of my favourite elements of classic rock ‘n’ roll, and adding my own personal spices to it.

“You can expect to hear songs from your favourites like Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry amongst others, but I always like to throw in a few surprises – and that’s one reason why A Holly Jolly Christmas is special for new and returning audiences alike.”

Stevenson added that he will be touring with some of B.C.’s best musicians, and the music is performed 100 per cent live – “just like the good ol’ days.”

Tickets are available at theactmapleridge.org or the ACT box office (11944 Haney Pl., 604-476-2787).
