The PWHL Vancouver unveiled its home and away jerseys Tuesday (Oct. 21) in anticipation of its inaugural Professional Women’s Hockey League season.
The jerseys will feature “Vancouver” diagonally across the front and the team colours of Pacific blue and cream with an “earthy bronze accent.”
The design pays “homage to the designs worn by the PWHL’s inaugural six teams in the league’s first season,” noted a PWHL release Tuesday.
“As we welcome Vancouver to the league, we wanted their jerseys to prominently feature the city’s name across the front, allowing fans to immediately identify with their hometown’s newest professional team,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL executive vice-president of business operations. “These designs also connect our expansion teams to the league’s foundation while they continue building their own traditions and ties to the community.”
The PWHL Seattle, the other new team, also revealed its jerseys today. They have a similar look but are in their team colours.
The team name and logo will be announced before the season begins but will not be incorporated “into on-ice uniforms” until the 2026-2027 season.
“I feel so excited that fans are finally getting to see our jerseys for the first time,” said PWHL Vancouver forward Sarah Nurse. “It truly feels surreal to think that in a month, I’ll be wearing that in a game for the first time. I already feel like we have such a strong fan base in Vancouver and can’t wait to compete on the ice in front of all of them on opening night!”
The PWHL Vancouver is set to drop the puck Nov. 21 against PWHL Seattle for its inaugural season, playing out of the Pacific Coliseum and utilizing the PNE Agrodome as its practice facility.
The PWHL will enter its third season this fall with its original six teams: Toronto Sceptres, Montreal Victoire, Ottawa Charge, Minnesota Frost, Boston Fleet, and New York Sirens, along with the two new teams, PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle.
