Penticton-Summerland MLA Amelia Boultbee will be speaking on the steps of the B.C. Legislature on Oct. 20, though on what topic remains a mystery.
In a post to her social media shortly after midnight, she said it will be for an “important announcement.”
According to some rumours, the announcement may be her resignation from the BC Conservative caucus.
Boultbee was moved into the position of critic for citizens’ services, after Elenore Sturko was ousted from the party and their critic roles were shuffled.
Despite publicly condemning the Association for Reformed Political Action for their anti-LBGTQ views, Boultbee, like all of the BC Conservative MLAs, was absent from the floor of the Legislature after Party Leader John Rustad chose to have the party leave instead of casting votes.
The announcement comes a year and a day after Boultbee was sworn in as MLA for the riding.
