The trial of a Penticton city councillor continued on May 25 with the accused taking the stand.
Coun. James Miller is charged with multiple counts of sexual interference of a minor dating back to the 90s, while he was a coach of the Sarnia Mini-Colts basketball team in the Ontario community.
Two complainants, both former members of the team, testified during the previous week.

Family members and additional members of the team have also testified so far.
On May 25, Miller took the stand in his own defence, largely denying the accusations against him.
The trial is expected to continue on May 26, with four defence witnesses planned to testify.
Closing submissions are aimed to be presented after the defence witnesses, but could be pushed to May 29, depending on how long the testimony takes.
As the trial remains ongoing, the allegations remain unproven.
Earlier in the month, a second trial involving a separate complainant was heard by a different Justice.
A decision in that trial is also pending, and will not be issued until June at the earliest.
