Maple Ridge country artist to release new single

A Maple Ridge country music artist is releasing his new single.

Judah Wardrope’s new single “On Your Radio” will be officially released on Wednesday, March 4, but will be making its debut on Country 106.7’s morning show which begins at 7 a.m.

The single comes following the success of Wardrope’s summer anthem called “Sundown”, and radio hit, “If I Die Tomorrow.

Wardrope describes “On Your Radio” as his first slow, emotional track.

The song describes a grown up Wardrope, as he reflects upon a relationship from his past that didn’t work out, while reminiscing on the troubles, problems, and even mistakes that were made that caused the relationship to fail.

“So far in the public eye, I’ve been know as the guy with the mullet who sings catchy up beat songs. I love it, but I also wanna show there’s more to me than that. I’ve been through heartbreaks too like everyone else,” explained the country music artist.

Wardrope was born in Maple Ridge and grew up in Saskatchewan.

He moved back to Maple Ridge in the summer of 2024 and has signed on as an artist with the BC Country Music Association, BCCMA.

Over the past year, Wardrope has played at the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, and the Sunfest Country Music Festival.

And, he was awarded Favourite Local Singer for the A-List Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, awarded by The News.

He has also toured western Canada.

Coming up, Wardrope will be touring the country alongside fellow BCCMA artist Anita Hamilton in April for “The Place To Be” tour.

They are still finalizing some of the dates but the first two shows will be in Lloydminster and Calgary, Alberta on April 10 and 11.

B.C. dates will be announced soon, said Wardrope, on his social media accounts.

Wardrope hopes his new single connects with anyone who has had their heart broken, to know they are not alone in their heartbreak.

“Music is such a gift, and my goal as an artist is to have a mix of songs that bring people happiness, and some songs like this one that while being a bit more sad and serious help people relate to what there going through in life,” he said.

Wardrope’s new single will be available online on all streaming platforms on March 4, including: Spotify, where you can also find his two singles: “If I Die Tomorrow” and “Sundown”; and Apple Music.

You will also be able to request the song at your local country radio station, said Wardrope.
