B.C.’s Olympic silver medallist Jenn Gardiner back home

Surrey, B.C.’s Olympic silver medallist Jenn Gardiner is back home on Canadian soil.

Gardiner, along with some of her Team Canada and Vancouver Goldeneyes teammates, and luge athletes Embyr-Lee Susko and Trinity Ellis, landed late at Vancouver International Airport Monday night (Feb. 23). They were welcomed by members of the Musqueam First Nations and a small group of supporters.

This was the Surrey native’s first Olympics. She scored her first Olympic goal in the Feb. 12 game against Finland.

Gardiner told the Cloverdale Reporter in a previous interview that she was grateful to get the goal, but the team’s win was the most important thing.

The team went on to play in the finals against the United States but lost 2-1 in overtime.

All of the players on the 2026 Canada Olympic women’s hockey team play in the PWHL.

The third season of the PWHL resumes on Thursday (Feb. 26) after the Olympic break. The Vancouver players get a few more days’ rest before the Goldeneyes return to action on Sunday, March 1, against the Toronto Sceptres at home.
