Foamers’ Folly Brewing Company offers a wide variety of unique-tasting beer, that is ever-evolving – brewed in the heart of Pitt Meadows.
Currently there are around 19 beverages on tap at the establishment at 19221 122A Ave., Pitt Meadows. But for those special holiday parties, growlers are available, or you can find their beer at liquor stores across the province.
The owners of Foamers’ Folly say they are about more than great beer, they have been providing a comfortable, family friendly environment, where everyone feels welcome since they opened their doors on Dec. 15, 2015.
They believe in building strong partnerships within the community, and so they contribute to many charities throughout the year, and participate in community events.
Owner Rob Davis explained that local businesses contribute to the identity and culture of a community by providing unique places to go, activities to take part in, and valuable services.
In addition, they provide local jobs and pay taxes that go towards community services, he said.
However, businesses like his also need local support to keep going, added Davis.
“A business’ success helps the business provide for their community. If a business isn’t successful, there is nothing left over to give back,” he noted.
Currently his team is made up of 16 employees who are gearing up to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary in the community.
To celebrate the milestone, they are throwing a party to go along with the release of a new brew called “Ten,” an aged sour ale with plum.
They are also selling limited edition shirts.
The party takes place from 6 p.m. to midnight on Dec. 13, and is called Apres Ski, where the theme is ski lodge couture. There will be prizes for best costumes, live music, pop-up tattoos, and giveaways.
Tickets are $10 and include a 20 ounce beer.
